Symphony of Light

When shadows grow long, I get restless; and when darkness falls, I drive into the night to greet celestial life. I find myself a private spot where I can be bothered only by coyotes. At first, I feel fear as a city dweller, but I look at the stars and let it all go. I surrender and tune into night landscape - it is my canvas, and flashlights are my brushes. I orchestrate a symphony of light while my cameras silently record my fantasies.
................................

…and when I am back to the city, I look at people and wonder how many of them will never venture into the night to witness how beautiful their moonlit planet is.

How I did it

I already started getting questions on how I did the shot from the previous entry.

Ok, here it is:

Shooting:
Totally dark room.
Black background (black clothes that doesn’t reflect).
Floors and the sides are covered with the black fabric so the light doesn’t bounce around.
The strobe is on full power with the snoot, behind my head, snooted and pointed to the keys about 35 degrees.
Camera is outrigged with the PW (Powerty Wizard) transmitter.
Remote electronic trigger is also connected.
ISO 400, wide open aperture (I am a 2.8 L glass fetish).
Shutter is dragged, I think it's under a second. This is to make sure the light saturates the keys real well.
The camera is on timer. I trigger with the electronic remote and put the remote on the note stand and assume a position, emitting arpeggios and chords of dissonance. Fortissimo!

Post Processing:
Cropped
Cloned out slight halo around my head.
Darkened a bench just a tad.
